the LEGACY

right leaf

It all began in Bouzy where my family grew grapes and harvested crops since 1741. By standing strong in the face of many challenges  like phylloxera pest and wars, my forefathers created a pattern that I am meant to follow: nurturing our land to create a splendid Champagne for everyone to enjoy and for all generations to come.

Launched in 2021, Champagne Alexandra Sainz celebrates my family’s heritage as grapegrowers pioneers in Bouzy. I am proud to continue my family’s farming tradition and honor the values I have learned from my parents.

From a very young age, I have always enjoyed working alongside my family, working in the vineyard and promoting what our land has to offer the best: Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, the two cépages considered among the worlds finest.

I have so many fond memories with my mother selecting only the best grapes to create the most generous champagne. I remember going to the pressoir with my father who would meticulously make sure the fruit would be handled with the most delicate attention. As a child, I was only having fun drinking this incredible juice from the belons, not knowing until later that I was tasting my first cuvées.

As a true Champenoise, I graduated from the Ecole Viticole de Champagne in Avize with a viticulture and oenological diploma.

And today, it is a great pleasure to share with you a fine champagne crafted with passion and the simple ambition that life is a celebration of love and happiness !

A votre Santé !
